Our commitments

Here are the objectives of our castles:

• To sort waste, beyond the legal obligations imposed on companies.
• To create our own cleaning products or to choose them based on their low environmental impact.
• To install water-saving taps and flushes.
• Wherever possible, to install automatic electrical detection on tours.
• To replace every standard bulb with a low energy bulb when it needs changing.
• Only buy reconditionned electronics.
• To print touristic documents on recycled paper: leaflets, posters, mailings, visitor guides.
• To choose a printing company labeled Ecovert.
• To preserve their natural environment with a sustainable management of the lands surrounding the châteaux and by encouraging the development of wild flora and fauna.
• To not use phytosanitary products for garden maintenance.
• To install rainwater recovery systems for watering.

Each time our châteaux open their doors to the public, our team truly cares about those commitments:

• To sell items in our shop which have been chosen according to eco-responsible criteria: raw material, origin of production, rational packaging.
• To use paper bags for selling products.
• To use organic and local ingredients during culinary activities or in our food outlets.
• To only sell drinks in returnable glass bottles and not in aluminium cans which are more difficult to recycle.
• To consider each event from an eco-responsible angle: waste management, partnerships with local partners and providers…
• To show and explain our commitments in order to raise awareness among the visitors who come to our châteaux.
